One Small Step for Sanhua, One Giant Leap for EV industry ——Recording national & local joint engineering center inaugurated and industry technology forum held in Sanhua
On May 25th, a great day, colorful flags flying in Sanhua Hangzhou Industry Park. National and local joint engineering center for EV air conditioning and thermal management was inaugurated in Sanhua R&D center. Meanwhile, EV air conditioning and thermal management technology forum was held in the afternoon in Hilton Hotel, Hangzhou.
The ceremony was hosted by Mr. Stone Shi, CTO of Sanhua Holding Group and GM of Sanhua Automotive. Approved by China Development and Reform Commission in October 2016, the engineering center is a China innovation platform in this field. It is mainly based on Sanhua R&D center and jointly constructed by six organizations including Automotive Engineering Department of Tsinghua University, Yangtze Delta Region Institute of Tsinghua Zhejiang, physics and chemical institute of Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing new energy automobile co., ltd, Sanhua Intelligent Controls and Sanhua Automotive. It strengths university-industry cooperation and improves research and innovation ability to develop heat pump air conditioning, thermal management and core control components and form industrialization of systems and components. Sanhua is the only one enterprise of five engineering center organizations in Zhejiang province, the other four are universities or institutions.
Mr. Zhang Yabo, vice president of Sanhua Holding Group delivered a speech. He thinks that the new clean energy application grows since Paris Agreement. New energy vehicle has become Chinese strategy innovation and Zhejiang important industry. Air conditioning and thermal system matters a lot for whole vehicle, which has great importance technology and industry value. The engineering center will unify all related organizations and focus on systems and key components technology. Sanhua Holding Group dedicated to technology innovation and owns nearly 3000 global patent filings. With full understanding of global automotive industry, Sanhua will strongly support the engineering center to drive global BEW thermal management technology development and make contribution to technology progress and energy conservation.
The inauguration was officially launched at 10:15, Zhang Daocai, president of Sanhua Holding Group, Zhou Yuan, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhou Tao, deputy secretary of Hangzhou economic and technological development zone, Zhang Yangjun, professor of automotive engineering of Tsinghua University, Zhang Haige, vice director of Yangtze Delta Region Institute of Tsinghua Zhejiang, Chen ping, chief engineer of Beijing new energy automobile co., ltd start the ceremony together. Hundreds of experts from industry, universities, automobile enterprises and medias witnesses this significant moment. Then Mr. Zhou Yuan made a speech and announced experts list of the engineering center. The appointed fifteen experts are from Sanhua Holding Group, Tsinghua University, Yangtze Delta Region Institute of Tsinghua Zhejiang, Chinese Academy of Science and Beijing new energy automobile.
Dr. Huang Lin-jie, chief scientist of Sanhua Holding Group gave a speech as representative of experts. Other five gusts respectively made a speech to express their congratulations and promote the technology and industrialization progress.

National and local joint engineering center for EV air conditioning and thermal management and technology forum is a major event for Sanhua new energy air conditioning and thermal management business; it is also recognition for Sanhua’s technology dedication and innovation in advanced world level.
