Sanhua’s 5G Future Factory Project is Awarded Silver Prize by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China

Recently, the 4th “Bloom Cup” 5G Application Competition is closed in Shenzhen. China Telecom’s Hangzhou Branch cooperates with Sanhua in the project “Sanhua’s 5G Future Factory Supported by the Application of UPF in Industrial Parks”, which wins The First Prize (Silver Prize) in this competition.

The 4th “Bloom Cup” 5G Application Competition lasts for more than 3 months. After the regional completion, thematic competition and national semi-final election, 300 projects are awarded prizes, out of 12,281 projects that enter this competition. 204 projects win Excellence Prize and 48 win The Third Prize. The First Prize and The Second Prize are given to 48 projects (0.39% of all the projects in number) that win in the representations and oral defense.

China Telecom’s Hangzhou Branch, develops “Sanhua Traceability System” together with Sanhua. This system is the core of Sanhua’s 5G future factory and adopts 5G technology including industrial gateway, industry Internet platform and application system, and embodies the progress of Industry 4.0.  “Sanhua Traceability System” bases on the data collected from production lines, makes the tracing in every phase possible, satisfies demands of the clients and at the same time, control the operation of different equipment in a flexible and optimal way, to improve the yield and decrease the complaints from clients.

Sanhua’s 5G future factory project makes breakthrough in the improvement of productivity. It redefines the criteria of qualified products, improve the management of quality on the one hand. On the other hand, it improves the efficiency of production, data security, to produce high-quality, modifiable, traceable parts for new energy vehicles. As this project is putting operation, Sanhua will reduce 10% cost of energy and production of emission, by the application of efficient data transmission and collection. In this way, the promotion and application of this project will benefit Sanhua’s development in cutting-edged technology, energy-saving and emission-reduction.

In the future, this system will be applied to Sanhua’s 9 main production bases and over 20 factories. This undertaking will quicken the development of information technology in a lot of areas, lead the manufacturing industry to become greener, safer and speedier.
