Sanhua Showcases Efficient Cooling Solutions at the China (Shanghai) International Data Center Industry Exhibition

As artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming the focus of the times, themed after the core issue, “Artificial Intelligence Helps to Reshape the Future”, the 5th China Data Center Renewable Energy Technology Summit and the 10th China (Shanghai) International Data Center Industry Exhibition were grandly opened in Shanghai New International Expo Center, from June 25 to 27, 2024. This conference is jointly sponsored by the China Data Center Committee (CDCC) and E7·RESEARCH and supported by the Open Computing Standards Working Committee (OCTC). The exhibition attracted more than 1000 domestic and foreign enterprises, where new products, cutting-edge technologies and innovative application scenarios were overwhelming, and a wave of green innovation swept in.

Sanhua booth is in E3-005, with IDC efficient cooling solutions as the theme, demonstrating Sanhua’s comprehensive solutions in the field of data center cooling. Sanhua has significant advantages in air-cooled and liquid-cooled, room-level, inter-column and cabinet-level cooling solutions. Whether it is the heating side, cold source side or transmission and distribution side of air conditioning, whether it is mechanical refrigeration, fluorine pump or natural cooling, Sanhua can provide leading solutions.

Innovative Solutions for Specific Products

In terms of specific products, Sanhua has brought many innovative solutions.

01 Microchannel heat exchanger

It provides precision air conditioning evaporator solutions, inter-row evaporator solutions, Free-Cooling (for dry coolers to achieve natural cooling) solutions. The star product is the θ-MCHE (cross pipe) heat exchanger, which is suitable for indoor evaporators and outdoor condensers, and has good drainage performance and anti-fouling ability. The wind resistance and wind noise are small; the refrigerant charge is reduced by more than 20%; the structure is compact, especially suitable for high energy efficiency models; the superimposition of high corrosion-resistant materials makes the reliability better.

02 Plate heat exchanger

Sanhua heat exchanger can be used in all cooling locations in the data center, including condenser, evaporator, free cooling heat exchanger (chilled water/cooling water), and CDU (coolant distribution unit). With the self-developed asymmetric flow channel design and high-efficiency distributor design, Sanhua heat exchanger makes the heat exchange efficiency of the refrigerant side higher, the pressure loss of the refrigerant side lower, and the power consumption of the pump lower. Especially in the field of data center cooling, Sanhua’s performance laboratory can be competent for the test of refrigerant/water and water/water heat exchange with super-large capacity at the same time, ensuring the reliability of product performance and the ability of continuous iteration.

03 Refrigeration valve

Especially for the compression/fluorine pump composite system, Sanhua introduced the electric ball valve scheme. The three-way ball valve has one inlet and two outlets, which can realize the full closure of the other way when one way is fully open, and finally realize the bypass of the compressor and fluorine pump. The two-way electric ball valve can be used as a throttle valve in the compression refrigeration mode, but it is more flexible in the fluorine pump mode. It can be fully opened to achieve the minimum pressure loss, and it can also continue to adjust and control the superheat at the outlet of the evaporator when the bypass is in different modes.

Sanhua Oil-free Self-lubricating Part

In terms of cold source, magnetic suspension centrifuge is widely used in large data centers, and Sanhua has introduced a series of oil-free self-lubricating components to ensure the reliable operation of the system. VPF electronic expansion valve and EBV electric ball valve (dual-purpose valve for load balancing/hot gas bypass) have been highly appreciated by many cold source equipment manufacturers.
